Movie is just awesome and impressive. It is well written and directed by Tarantino. First 30 minutes you have to keep patience and then you will get hooked to this movie and would want to see it without a blink. Acting was awesome by all actors and story is so well shown to people that you will love it. A must watch for movie lover. Don't miss it.
Movie takes time to set up the plot. You should have some patience in the middle. Best part of the movie is last 40 minutes. First 2 hours is the build up for last 40 mins. But, the wait is worth it. Chemistry between Brad Pitt and Leo is awesome and this movie contains some brilliant acting performances by the lead characters. This is a must watch if you are a Tarantino/Leo/Brad fan.
I like how Tarantino used this movie as a tool to change the history of the most famous incident in Hollywood's golden age by creating two amazing fictional characters who are played perfectly by two amazing actors. And speaking of the golden age of hollywood, this picture show me some aspects and produced some lines that changes my idea about movies in general, the fact that in 60s, superhero movies was bad ideas of blockbuster movies and nowadays every company use them to make money. Also, what can i say about Tarantino's style, he simply gives every character the spotlight and as usual, the ending connects all the events that happened before, a style in my opinion is the best style in directing, that is why you have to watch this movie and any of his other movies, because the ending always worth the wait and always delivers. Last but not least, Robbie's performance was sweet and intersting, I like how with few lines, she gives us what need to know about Tate's life, amazing few lines acting. So overall, considering all the things I talked about and the new faces that was introduced in this movie, just like the little girl, who in 10 years time she will become a hollywood star, mark my words, I am giving this movie a solid 9.5/10
Well if You are planning to watch this movie, then you should have some patience while watching. It takes some time to set up the characters and their conversations, through which it will lead to a conflict. The first one hour is kinda hangout movie with some meta Tv show links connected to it which involves Rick Dalton (Dicaprio) and other actors. And then BOOM you will get hooked into the movie There's nothing to judge about actors everyone are pro's here. Great acting by every actor who appear in the movie with just climax scene you will feel worth for spending money. This is a Tarantino movie and Tarantino Fan's and his movie lovers will love this one.
In an alternate Hollywood, in 1969, Bruce Lee gets his ass handed to him by a washed-up stunt double named Cliff Booth. Before you say that this would never have happened, consider that the last person this needs to be pointed out to is Quentin Tarantino, and that this is probably his nod to old TV Westerns where the good-looking lead had to win the fight against the trash-talking heavy, no matter how mismatched they seemed.
"Once upon a time” is written and directed by Quentin Taranrino. I will save your time and cut to the chase - the film is ho-hum and lackluster despite an excellent cast and creative re-writing of events surrounding the gruesome Hollywood murders of movie actress Sharon Tate. After all the movie was awesome.
What a nicely written and directed movie by Quentin Tarantino. Pitt’s character takes care of business, keeps his calm, extracts himself and his skin . Tarantino’s film portrays a golden-hued image of Hollywood and Los Angeles. Go see “Once Upon A Time...in Hollywood”. It’s good. Its really good. It’s spacey and detailed and beautifully acted by Pitt and Leonardo Decaprio. You will surely have a good time watching this.
Another great Tarantino film, though I do agree there are times where it feels a little indulgent and meandering. The climax of the film is fantastic though, and it does make it feel like it was all worth it for the most part. There isn't really a defined narrative, which may put some people off but Tarantino's sublime dialogue and the great performances make all of the scenes at least entertaining. It's no Pulp Fiction, but it definitely is one of the most original films I've seen in a while.
Quinten Tarantino's with his 9th film met the expectations. Once upon a time in Hollywood brings the nostalgic moments of 1969's. Star studded cast did exceptionally well to bring alive the characters of this film. Both DeCaprio and Bradd have performed superbly. Cinematography, sets and sound track are spot on suiting the time line of the film, making it more realistic. A story of two guys who are struggling to make a career, this film will surely impress you. Go and watch.
Once again Quentin Tarantino has done it - another long and in depth film(almost three hours long for this one!) as the director mixes plot and stories that blend both drama, comedy and action all in one. Again as is common in any film of Tarantino's is the cast is always all star and a memorable ensemble and it seems the acting and chemistry is always in top form. And this might be the director's finest film to date for it's look back in time to a memorable yesteryear era! "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" is set in 1969 at the height and end of Hollywood's golden age in era of free spirits and cultural uprising. It follows the life of one Rick Booth(in fine form from Leonardo DiCaprio) a past his prime and faded TV actor who now struggles even to get small parts in TV westerns, and Booth seems hopeless yet he's still friends with his buddy and partner in crime that being his stunt double Cliff Booth(Brad Pitt). The two burn plenty of midnight oil together still a ray of light is found when Rick gets a second chance and a rebirth by doing international pictures and marrying an Italian beauty. In somewhat of a wild card and subplot story Dalton's neighbor is the sexy and young actress Sharon Tate(Margot Robbie) who spices and lightens up the screen as a young star in the making. Also introduced is the strange and notorious Charles Manson. The film even has a surprise and happy ending! Overall excellent well done epic movie that pays homage to the past as it's a showcase of different stories that connects up with different characters.
This film deserves so much praise for its risky screenplay in such a dark true crime setting. For 2 hrs, 41 minutes, I was taken 50 years back, experiencing Hollywood's film industry as a comedic drama filled with desire, tension and everyday life. Bring your sense of humor though. There are lines of dialogue and laugh out loud bits that completely satisfy your curious mind. Expect everything you would from Tarantino, but also what you wouldn't. The introduction is a bit slow but by no means unenjoyable. As the film reaches the second half, you are so drawn into the era that time no longer matters. Because of this, I do wish it was up to an hour longer. I think this is a unique case that extra footage would only help such an already powerful story. It's likely going to grant some nominations for both Pitt and DiCaprio. Cliff was far more likable (and probably more relatable for many) but Rick really, really made me laugh. Hard. I think this is DiCaprio's most comedic role yet. His character is a spoiled has-been who knows he’s a terrific actor. But alcoholism causes him to spiral into tantrums that will make you giggle. I had the privilege to watch an early 70mm screening of this film at the cinerama dome with the director, Tarantino, in the audience. It was a surreal experience I’ll never forget. A definite see-it-in-theatres watch.
Once upon a time in Hollywood directed by Quentin Tarantino staring DeCaprio and Brad Pitt portraying the times of 1969. This movie vividly shows the scenes of those times, cars, streets, radio ads. The stellar cast delivered an awesome performance. The acting is top notch. It depicts the story of TV stars who are trying to make their way. This movie deserves to be watched for its story telling and stellar performances.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is the first Quentin Tarantino movie to have a social context. His film-industry story, about fading actor Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his stunt-double best friend Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt), is told against the backdrop of the late-Sixties zeitgeist symbolized by real-life figures Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie) and Charles Manson (Damon Herriman). The lurid premise is typical for Tarantino, whose previous films sprang from private whimsy and were executed with sadistic license — proof of an adolescent mentality disconnected from adult experience and human feeling. Really Impressive!!
